The City of Syracuse gets a new tool to help clear roads after snowfall.

The city says plow drivers will now have a turn-by-turn navigation system that will help them become more efficient at clearing the roads.

"This is a way to help guide plow drivers. I mean as you can imagine, plow drivers have a lot of ground to cover when we are facing a winter event. This tool helps us quickly and also effectively educate not only our existing drivers but new CDL drivers," said Corey Driscoll Dunham, the city's chief operations officer.

The city says residents can help plows by parking their car legally on the street.
