Liverpool High School fine arts wing just got a huge makeover, and it's all being used to give students more hands-on experiences.

Plans for the overhaul started in 2016, and it was supposed to open last September.

The updated rooms for activities like band, chorus and orchestra are expected to be a draw for students to be inspired in this now state-of-the-art facility.

The star attraction is a brand new stage and expanded seating area that has educators and students alike excited about the future.

"Performing a musical on a stage like this or displaying artwork at an art show, we want to offer the kids as many experiences doing real things that they would encounter in their professionals lives as we possibly can do and a space like this allows us to do that times 10, compared to what we might've had in the past," said Liverpool Central School District Fine Arts Director Adam Shatraw.

That stage is already being put to good use with a musical performance help there this past weekend.
