It’s a snowy day in upstate New York as communities brought back in-person St. Patrick's Day parades.
The city of Buffalo got a fresh blanket of snow Saturday morning. Their parade is set for next week.
Parades were still scheduled in Central New York and Rochester, while Albany's has been pushed back because of the weather.
Despite the snow, the bagpipes will still play in Syracuse. Our Shalon Stevens was on the parade route with a look at preparations and the conditions.
The Syracuse St. Patrick’s parade is back this year after being cancelled for the last two years because of the pandemic. This is the 40th year for the parade and despite snow and windy, crowds gathered for the parade kick off at noon on South Salina Street.
Albany's parade is now set for next Saturday, March 19, Buffalo is set for March 20.
