The post-season has arrived for the SU men's basketball team. However, how far they go in the ACC tournament is a big question.

The Orange will take on Florida State today at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Most experts believe winning the entire ACC tournament is the only chance the team has to get an NCAA tournament bid on Sunday night.

Heading into the conference tournament, the team is currently on a four-game losing skid. If the team has any hope to get an NCAA tournament bid they're going likely need four wins in four days in Brooklyn starting today.

According to fans in the Schine Student Center who plan to watch today's tournament opener against Florida State, there may be a chance for some redemption.

"You never really know what can happen in the ACC tournament and the March Madness tournament so hopefully we can maybe spark a run here. We had a high for a little bit, so you never know how much fire you'll catch going into it. You hope so," said Syracuse University junior Buddy Murphy.

"The great thing about March Madness is that anything can happen. You see that all the time  A couple of years ago, UMBC, and you've got Florida Gulf Coast. Any team can make that run and I think Syracuse is more than capable of doing that," said Syracuse University sophomore Micah Shapiro.

SU is likely to have a good supporting cast fans in Brooklyn cheering on the team. The Orange did split two games with Florida State in December and January of this season.

The game will tip off at noon, so some fans in Central New York may decide to take a bit of an extended lunch break today. If SU can win, they'll get another noon game on Thursday against top seeded Duke.
