A blue line is officially down in Syracuse, marking the start and finish line of this wekeend's Mountain Goat Run and the Salt City is making room for the marathon's 43rd year.
The run was made virtual last year, and this year's event was pushed back to the fall, but we're told it may go back to being held in the spring next year.
For now, organizers say they're excited to experience the run in-person this weekend. Organizers also say we can expect a new addition to the course this year, and it's perfect for this time of year.
"The Creek Walk, that's down in lower Onondaga Creek Park, will take runners along a beautiful setting along the creek," said Rose Marie Nelson, Mountain Goat race director. "We go under South Ave. that allows all the busses and pedestrians and folks going to church to get through and we pop right out on West Colvin and it's up that beautiful Colvin Hill to Manley Fieldhouse."
Registration for the in-person races ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, but if you're running virtually, you have until the 24th to register.
