SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras spoke about how SUNY schools are preparing for students to come back on campus and what steps they’re taking to get back to a normal routine.

"To get all of our students, faculty and staff vaccinated upon arriving for the fall semester because our plan is to fully reopen all 64 of our campuses, it’s been a long year, plus our students have to do a lot of modified learning, but now we want to turn the page on COVID, we want to go back to as normal of an experience as possible," Malatras said.

Students who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask and won’t have to social distance.

Colleges hope to have all students and faculty vaccinated by the start of the school year.
