After nearly 16 months of rigid travel restrictions, Canada is finally starting to loosen the rules, but only for a few.

Effective now, fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents will be able to skip the 14-day quarantine. That includes those who are full vaccinated.

Eligible air travelers will also be exempt from the requirement that they spend their first three days in Canada in as government-approved hotel.

But Americans wanting to travel to Canada will still have to wait a bit longer. The mutual travel restrictions between Canada and the U.S. aren’t set to expire until July 21.
