It seems like nothing is putting the brakes on gas prices. AAA was originally hoping that after Memorial Day, prices would ease slowly. Instead, higher oil prices have continued to drive costs at the pump higher.

Locally, commuters in Ithaca and Syracuse are paying the least, according to AAA, while drivers in Watertown are shelling out $3.15 a gallon. In Rome, it's all the way up to $3.17 a gallon.

AAA says these elevated prices could last through the end of the month.
