If you've driven down Route 146 in Sutton, you've most likely seen this guy. He's almost impossible to miss.
Dallas Hayes Jr. knows how to put on a show, he's the man behind all the moves.
"I've never had a bad day at work," said Hayes.
Dressed in costume, he dances at the Boston Road intersection advertising for Your CBD Store. The Worcester native said there are two things you absolutely need to do this job. The first is good music to dance to.
"I love the Grateful Dead, anything I can move to really," said Hayes.
The second is a positive attitude.
"I'm so filled with love, there's no room for anything else," he said.
The local celebrity is fueled by his fans. The more reaction he gets, the harder he dances.
"Basically it runs off what people give me, I give back. So when they beep and wave and tell me they love me, it's like iron sharpens iron," said Hayes.
He's been a boost for the business, almost everyone who comes into the store mentions him.
"They will come in and be like 'oh the dancing guy, what is he wearing today?' People drive the long way home and add more time to their commute just to see him," said Rachel Hudson, co-owner of Your CBD Store.
The single father used to work in sanitation, but calls this new opportunity a dream come true.
"If I can put a smile on someone's face, just for a minute, I've done my job," said Hayes.
He loves almost everything about what he does, there's just one problem. He's in search of a shoe tough enough to keep up with him and all his moves.
