A local children's museum continues to do what it can to offer young children educational fun.
Renovations were recently completed at the Children's Museum of Oswego, which has been a great option for parents and kids during the pandemic.
Museum officials said they've made a lot of changes and they're finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Just before the pandemic started, a multi-million dollar interior renovation was completed with new interactive play stations.
The museum, which is targeted to children 12 and under, includes locally sponsored exhibits with everything from energy and safety demos, to water and power lessons. The museum has been operating at 25% capacity with reservations only.
Workers do everything they can to sanitize the stations and add new fun every day. Organizers said, as the pandemic hopefully comes to an end, guests can look forward to the future.
"We are incredibly optimistic that we will be able to bring in more people into the museum at one time, as people begin to get vaccinated and it begins to open back up again, and we just cannot wait. This is what we love; we love interacting with children," said CMOO Education and Operations Director Kathryn Watson.
Watson said they're constantly adding daily programs, exhibits, and events to the calendar. You're encouraged to make reservations online with spring recess right around the corner.
CMOO will also be holding an online charity auction to raise funds and is always looking for sponsors.
