The Bryant and Stratton campus on Route 57 in Liverpool is now the home of a new nursing program.
The college began offering the bachelor's degree program in January with a blend of classroom and online education.
Students enrolled in the program are learning vital medical skills and have the ability to earn their bachelor's degree in just under three years.
Officials said students enrolled in this first class have received good hands-on training and have been taking in-person classes a few times a week. They said the lab will help prepare them well for future nursing careers.
"This campus is unique, this program is unique, it's the only regional nursing program that, offers the entire program on one campus. We're not affiliated with another program. So, our students start and finish here at Bryant and Stratton," said Bryant and Stratton Nursing Program Director Rhonda Reader.
This is the first Bryant and Stratton nursing program offered in New York State. The college has started enrolling for the next semester, which will begin May 5.
