Clear Path for Veterans is making sure local veterans have a proper Thanksgiving meal despite the pandemic alterng their annual plans.

More than 200 to-go boxes are being packed up, and will include a turkey and all the fixings.

Clear Path members say it's all about giving a hand up, not a hand out, especially during the holiday season.

"It hits home for us to take care of our fellow men and women who served the country and usually around the holidays there is an increased need, but we're providing these services year round," said Alexander Behm, Clear Path's executive director.

A specified team of volunteers will be delivering the boxes. At this time, Clear Path cannot accept additional volunteers for the effort due to COVID-19 regulations.

This story has been updated from a previous version that incorrectly stated that more than 60 boxes will be prepared for veterans. More than 200 boxes have been prepared. Additionally, the report incorrectly stated Clear Path was in need of volunteers for the effort. Clear Path cannot accept additional volunteers due to COVID-19 regulations.
