CAZENOVIA, N.Y. --One of the best things about living in New York is the fall foliage!
Maybe you've got some plans to take a ride with the family to enjoy all the color change outside.
The Empire State Development's I Love New York program just published its latest foliage report. Spotters said they expect to see about a 50 percent color change this weekend in our region, including in Madison and Oneida Counties.
"It's going to be a wonderful time to get out and see the leaves. A tremendous amount of opportunity to get out because most of us have that extra day here to get out and poke around," said Madison County Tourism Executive Director Scott Flaherty. "You can head up to Chittenango Falls here, Stone Quarry Art Park where we are, and Great Swamp in Canastota is another great place where you can socially distance and take in the leaves."
Flaherty said you can expect to see plenty of vibrant red, yellow and orange colors out there this weekend. You can check out the full fall foliage report for the entire state by visiting I Love NY's website.
