Visitors are once again welcome at the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, which has been closed for four months because of the coronavirus.

Admission will only be through reservations, and all visitors are required to wear face masks. There will also be signs directing visitors to encourage social distancing, and clear plastic shields have been installed at the front desk and the shop.

"We're really hopeful that we'll see some local people. This is usually our tourist heavy time. We see most of our locals in the winter when we have the Gingerbread Gallery," said Natalie Stetson, the museum's executive director.

The museum is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. There's a suggested donation of $10.
