Former Big Red, Matt Morgan, was having an excellent first year of professional basketball. Working his way through the NBA G-League, Morgan looked comfortable against the competition as the season progressed. But, just as Morgan began to assert himself, the COVID-19 outbreak halted his first season.

After having time to step away from the game, Morgan can appreciate his first year of professional basketball. Playing for the Raptors 905, there was an adjustment period early in the year for the former First Team Ivy League player.

But, to ease his transition into professional basketball, Morgan relied on some Central NY connections he had made. Teammates with Oshae Brissett and Tyler Ennis, Morgan says their prior relationships made him feel more at home north of the U.S. border.

Just like the rest of the sports world, Morgan is unsure if or when the NBA season will resume. Should this be the end of his first season of professional basketball, Morgan is pleased with his performance and excited about his potential NBA future.
