Seneca Falls is dedicating this entire weekend to a classic Christmas movie.

The “It’s a Wonderful Life” Festival honors the beloved tale of George Bailey and his family.

Four actors from the film — Karolyn Grimes, Jimmy Hawkins, Jeanine Ann Roose, and Carol Coombs — have come to town to sign autographs and meet fans. Six actors from the 1946 film are still living; five were child actors at the time.

Events include a screening of the movie, a 5K, a cinnamon bun eating contest, and plenty more.

Bedford Falls is the fictitious town where the story takes place, and many believe Seneca Falls closely resembles it.

"It means a lot to us to be part of Bedford Falls, and connected to this movie,” said the Francis Caraccilo, the movie’s museum co-director. “We see that in people who come here."

The festival will continue throughout the day Saturday and Sunday.
