An Auburn Church is closing after serving the community for 38 years. First Love Ministries held its final services on Sunday.
Closing the church also means the soup kitchen and food pantry are shutting down. Those services are supported through donations from the congregation.
The Pastor said fewer than 10 people have been showing up for services lately. That wasn't the case on its last day, with dozens showing up to say goodbye.
"Just this past year it seems like a lot of people left, and new people didn't come anymore." said Auburn Resident, Lorraine Carnicelli, "It's been sad- seeing them come and go."
The Soup Kitchen is open through Friday.
