The 24th annual community dinner at Binghamton High School serves more than a thousand mouths.

“It’s really been weeks and months of effort; students coming in during lunch, after school, staying, and just working on projects,” said Isaac Karp, a senior at Binghamton High School.

Around 200 students pitch in to serve food, and make it all go smoothly.

“I’m here today because I think it's awesome that we can all come together as a community and just serve, ya know. We can take a little bit out of our day and just to give everyone else in need and I think that’s awesome,” said Zane Olmstead, a senior at Binghamton High School.

Despite being at school on their day off, some students prefer it to being at home.

“I would have just been at home sitting on my phone, but this is getting us out here getting us working, interacting with the community,” Olmstead said.
