Onondaga County lawmakers have passed a $1.3 billion budget for next year.

The good news for taxpayers is there is no hike, although sewer rates will go up slightly.

There are a couple of new initiatives in the budget.

A new department was added. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will centralize parts of county government.

Adjustments were also made to foster care as the Sycamore House will give teens a county run place to call home.
