Ava's Little Heroes is gearing up for another year of fundraising to help children going through a health crisis.
The fundraiser was created and inspired by the support from community members for Animal Adventure Owners, Jordan and Colleen Patch. In the first seven months of their daughter, Ava's life, she was given a prognosis that she would never walk or talk again.
Today, Ava is 3 years old and is not only walking, but dancing and in good health.
"In 2017 she had a hemispherotomy disconnecting half of her brain. But what that did for her was eliminate her seizures. She is now seizure free, in school, walking, talking and just signed up for dance class," said Jordan Patch.
During that difficult time, Ava and her family received a ton of community support.
Now, the Patch family is paying it forward.
"We're collecting this year to help support the HCA, the Handicap Children's Association or Helping Celebrate Abilities," said Jordan Patch.
Hoping to help other children just like Ava, along their journey of life.
