There was a preview of the New York State Fair butter sculpture on Wednesday. Not the design, but who's designing it.
Two artists from Pennsylvania have been coming to the New York State Fair since 2003.
Jim Victor and Maria Pelton will spend the next 10 days inside the dairy building, sculpting butter. Using about 50 tools for carving, the process is very serious.
With years of experience, the two are experts, but say each year brings a different level of excitement.
"Every time we do a butter sculpture or food sculptures, it really feels like a new experience in a way because every sculpture is different." said Sculptur, Maria Pelton.
The butter sculpture will be unveiled August 20. We will carry the unveiling live on Spectrum News.
