All the colors of the rainbow filled Syracuse's Inner Harbor for Pride Day Saturday.

Dozens of organizations participated in the parade, showing support for the local LGBTQ+ community. The parade marched around Destiny USA, down Frederick Street, and into the Inner Harbor for the Pride Festival.

This year commemorates 50 years since the Stonewall Riots — which is referred to as a pivotal moment of the LGBTQ+ movement. Those in attendance say Pride is all about celebrating individual, sexual, and gender identity.

"It's one day of the month of the year people like me can express themselves," said Syracuse resident, Peter Fennessey. "In a place and area with people like us, with people who support us without fear of judgment or violence from people who may not understand us."

CNY Pride organizes the parade. Money raised goes towards serving the LGBTQ+ community.
