If one thing is certain with Woodstock 50 this summer, it's that the weekend festival is sure to bring a big crowd.

  • Horseheads Police Department is working with State Police to prepare traffic plans
  • Police Officers will work overtime during weekend
  • The next meeting is June 25th

Police Chief Thomas Stickler says his department is preparing for the worst, but praying for the best.

"It could influx our traffic, it could have an impact on our community as far as people from out of town being in the area. Potential for crime to rise a little bit. So we're going to try and counter that and have extra officers working through that time frame," said Stickler.

Officers have been working with State Police to devise a plan. The Chief says they're preparing for more than 75,000 people to attend in August.

Another community meeting is scheduled in June.
