It was a busy day for firefighters in Herkimer.

Crews had to work together to battle two fires at two businesses that were minutes and miles apart. 

They were first called around 9 a.m. to the Ole VI, located on Washington Street.

Flames were seen shooting from the roof of the building.

Fire also spread to a neighboring home on South Washington Street.

No one was hurt but the building was destroyed.

Fire officials believe the fire sparked inside the apartment in the back of the building. 

The second fire was called in while crews were still battling the one at the Ole VI. This one was at Altrux on Route 28.

The trucking company appared to have damage to a pole barn.

There is no word yet that anyone was injured.
