If you happen to see shamrocks lining the walls of your neighborhood store, they're going up for a good cause.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association's Shamrock Campaign is taking place through the end of March. You can purchase $1 or $5 shamrocks at most Cliff's Local Markets, Byrne Dairy, or Price Chopper stores. Money raised will go to support families affected by muscle-debilitating diseases including muscular dystrophy and ALS.

"We've got all of Central New York including Western New York as well,” said MDA of CNY and WNY Executive Director Tony Ortega. “So, everywhere from Utica to Buffalo, we're working to fight neuromuscular diseases and help those families. And there are 3,200 families in our area."

The campaign goes until March 31.
