"Total shock. I mean a family of five has perished," said Bodah family friend Ed Massa.

It's the second day of mourning for neighbors in Watertown.

"I'm very shocked about what happened. I didn't expect for this to happen, especially to her," said Grace Hickey, friend of 13-year-old victim, Hailey.

A Thursday morning fire killed a father and four of his children. The fire injured another as well.

"We fought like brothers. That's the best that I can tell you. I loved him like a brother," said Massa.

The lone survivor was just 13-years-old.

"One of the sweetest people that I've met," said Hickey.

"Beautiful,” said Massa. “There were always smiles on their faces. You couldn't ask for a better family.”

Remembering the victims and mourning together, hundreds filled the 900 block of Mrytle Avenue Friday evening.

"I think this is amazing. The people have just come to be here today in this weather and everything," said Massa.

The group consoled each other and sang Happy Birthday to celebrate one of the victims killed. She would have been five Friday.

"Everybody is still in a state of shock and everything has happened so fast but we're very tight and we're going to pull this together for Hailey," said Massa.

Though the Bodah family has lost five of its members, they and the community are pulling together to support 13-year-old Hailey.

"To make sure that she knew that I was there for her and her family and to make sure she knew that I was there to help her through it," said Hailey's friend Jordan Moody.

Ed says that the Bodah family is preparing a GoFundMe for Hailey's college fund. The family will release that information in the near future.
