One organization is making sure kids in Syracuse have a bed to sleep on at night.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national group that builds and delivers beds to kids in need. Last year, a Syracuse chapter started up and has since delivered more than 67 beds.

Deliveries happen every weekend for kids from six to 17 years old. Members say it is important for every child to have access to a bed.

"I think it's true in a child's life a bed has incredible power," said Jon Wright, Syracuse Sleep in Heavenly Peace co-president. "It has the power to make a difference in how they grow up, how they develop, how they look at themselves, and how they feel about themselves."

The organization says they still currently need donations of comforters, mattresses, and bedding.
