The village of Ilion is now dealing with its third water main break in a week.

It happened Saturday afternoon at the intersection of West Main Street and Weisbecker Hill.

This break impacted all village water customers, according to police.

Mayor Brian Lamica says crews are working as best they can to get the problem under control.

"Anyone who can hold a shovel or hold a light, or be there for support for the guys as they change a pipe or whatever has been here. We've got girls in the office volunteering their time handing out water today, so everyone is doing something and we're all getting tired." said Mayor Lamica.

The village remains in a state of emergency and a boil water advisory is in place.

Bottled water is being handed out at the municipal building on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
