The Syracuse community came together to mourn another young life lost to violence.
A vigil was held for 14-year-old Mya Killeen Friday night. She was shot in an apartment on the 900 block of Ballantyne Road Tuesday afternoon.
She later died from her injuries at the hospital. The case is now being investigated as a homicide.
Mourners at the vigil say they want Mya's family to know they're not alone.
"The community will rally around her and show the family support,” said OGs Against Violence founder Clifford Ryan. “That's very important when family loses a loved one, for them to show that support."
Police haven't named a suspect in the case. They're asking for the public's help as they continue to investigate.
