Neighboring farmers are coming to the aid of a dairy farmer who suffered a huge loss Sunday.

A cattle barn on the Jones Family farm in the town of Trenton was destroyed by fire Sunday, killing 250 cows. The fire started around 11:00 a.m. Sunday on Whittaker Road.

No people were hurt, but it was a devastating loss for the owners.

Spectrum New has been told area farmers and the Cornell Cooperative Extension are reaching out to see what they can do to help.

The fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.

The Jones family farm has been around since the early 1930's.
