Hundreds of people bundled up Saturday for a snowmobile drag race at the Snow Ridge Mountain in Turin.

Sleds were broken up into 37 classes and sped there way up the mountain, reaching speeds near 100 miles per hour.

It's a sport that racers say makes them feel free.

"Snowmobiling in my opinion is best described as low level flying through the woods on a high speed conveyor belt that turns left and right every once in a while," said racer, Jimmy McHugh.

It was Jerry Rice Racing's first race of the year.
