Sometimes in life we are all looking for a second chance, and that includes dogs. Second Chance Animal Shelter in Jamesville is hoping to make that happen.

They rescue dogs found on the street, most of which have been in bad or abusive situations. They also provide pet therapy to inmates at the Jamesville Correctional Facility.

The non-profit is now teaming up for the last day of "Lights On The Lake," because they are in need of donations.

"All the proceeds from Monday night are going to come directly to the shelter and help care for the dogs, and allow us to pull more dogs that are in need. It's only $5 per car, load the family up, load the family dog up in the car. It's a great way to extend the holiday a little bit," said Second Chances Board President Kimberly Smith-Ford.

If you are interested in helping you can visit "Lights on the Lake" Monday night from 5 to 10 p.m.
