The West Genesee School Board held a special executive session because of a post circulating on Facebook, claiming Superintendent Chris Brown is having a relationship with a district employee. That, of course, raises questions about a possible conflict of interest.
The board president tells Spectrum News that Dr. Brown will be taking vacation time, though it’s not clear for how long. She says the superintendent told the board the news during the executive session.
West Genesee School Board President Roberta Herron says the board is conducting a thorough investigation of the allegations saying it could take “days to weeks.”
Defending himself, Brown sent a letter to the district defending himself, denying any relationship, saying, "I do not and did not have a romantic relationship with any other employee. I treat all employees equally and always have."
Brown told us he was directed by the board to refrain from commenting.
We've been told the board will not provide any more information until the investigation is concluded.
