Postal workers at the Solvay office say this week is their Super Bowl, as they put in extra hours to make sure gifts and deliveries arrive on time.

Each day this week, 29 million packages will be delivered nationwide.

"You used to see gifts, something from me to you, now we see the whole of the holiday. Not only gift shopping, but maybe that ugly sweater that you're going to wear to the office party, you've ordered it online. Maybe everything you're going to have for your holiday meal, you ordered it online," says Maureen Marion, USPS communications manager for New England and New York.

The deadline for priority mail and letters to make it by Christmas is Thursday, with Saturday for Express Mail.
