A local theater is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

The Manlius Art Cinema first opened in December 1918 as a silent theater. But it's changed with the times, from its name to its movie selection.

These day's it's known for its featured independent and foreign films. Owner Nat Tobin says he's proud to be a part of the well-loved theater.

“I love treating the customers like people and like valued people and that's what they are,” said Tobin. “We wouldn’t be here for 100 years without them."

The Manlius Art Cinema is the longest running theater in Onondaga County.
