UTICA, N.Y. -- One local sailor killed by the attacks on Pearl Harbor is getting a special tribute.

Friday marked the 77th anniversary of the attacks which killed nearly 2,400 people. Gerald "Bob" Magee, a Utica native, was on board the USS Arizona.

He died at just 20 years old, and his body was never recovered.

Magee's family is donating some of his things to the Oneida County History Center.

The new display was unveiled on Friday, made complete with Magee's cruise book. Magee's nephew said the book is like a high school yearbook for the ship.

"Uncle Bob was a local boy. He was from Utica. We could think of no better place than the Oneida County History Center where people could view this almost unique book as a small tribute to Bob Magee," said Magee's nephew David DeSantis.

Magee is the only known sailor from Utica killed aboard the USS Arizona from the attacks.

Another memorial was dedicated to him on Utica's Memorial Parkway.
