WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service says it will honor Wednesday's National Day of Mourning for former President George HW Bush by suspending mail service.

USPS says it will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity across the country.
It will provide some package service that day. The postal service says that, in light of the holiday shipping season, they want to make sure the package delivery network stays fluid so there is no backup that affects customers.
President Trump issued a proclamation on Saturday that designated Wednesday as a National Day of Mourning, asking people to pray for the former president.
