As fans filed their way into the Adirondack Bank Center Wednesday night, they were greeted with a little trinket for their fan appreciation.

"We got a nice commemorative banner for the fans to remember the record breaking night we had Friday,” said Utica Comets Vice President Adam Pawlick.

They shattered a number that they knew would not be easy 121 games; 121 consecutive home sellout games, a new AHL team record. Pawlick shared the news Wednesday night that the record has now reached a new high of 122 games, and expects the record to continue.

Wednesday night, the Adirondack Bank Center was jammed packed with Comet fanatics proud to be apart of history.

"I never never would have thought of this happening,” said Glenn Hopsicker, a Comets season ticket holder. “And we needed it for this town we need it."

Even some Comets fans missed a portion of the World Series to capture this moment.

“You gotta go Comets, Red Sox, and Comets,” said Scott Blais.

Leaving nothing but appreciation and respect from the Comets to their fans, who will be waiting on the edge of their seat for number 123.

"I think it is very big for the players to play in front of such a very great crowd,” said Pawlick.
