Community members are saying enough is enough.
After recent violence in the City of Syracuse claimed three young lives, residents are joining forces with city officials.
Mothers Against Gun Violence and other community members met with Mayor Ben Walsh and Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens yesterday.
They discussed the violence in the city and what steps can be taken to prevent it.
We caught up with the President of Mothers Against Gun Violence, Lepa Jones.
Two things she suggested could help is enforcing curfews and simply speaking up.
She's calling on the entire community to help.
"It's not no pointing a finger at who should, who did, what are they doing---it's us coming together, everybody standing up, everybody being accountable. I'm just reaching out to the community as of right now. We need you. We need you," said Jones.
Lepa Jones and other community residents say they plan to continue to do their part in ending the violence.
She says she doesn't just want to speak about it, but be part of it.
OG's against gun violence also took to the streets yesterday to meet with grieving family members of victims.
