State police say one person is dead and a child is seriously injured following a crash in Lewis County.

Police say a car collided with a tractor-trailer on State Route 12 in Martinsburg Sunday afternoon.

According to investigators, the car crossed the center line and hit the tractor-trailer head-on.

The driver of the car, 44-year-old Terence Gamble of Millbrook, was killed.

A 9-year old in the vehicle was flown to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the crash.
