SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Things are picking up for the Iron Pier at the Inner Harbor.

The new development is set to open October 1.

The building overlooks the waterfront and will provide 112 residential spaces.

The first floor is reserved for retail and restaurant businesses.

Those working on the development project say they are excited to be a part of such growth in the city.

"In some small way, our helping this come to this community which is long overdue for a project like this is very gratifying and it makes you feel good about COR's efforts and the city's efforts have really culminated in," said Vince Claps, Leasing and Operations vice president.

While residents will begin to move in next month, businesses won't open until 2019.
