SYRACUSE, N.Y. — It was a bittersweet day for fans at NBT Bank Stadium, as the Syracuse Chiefs played their final game.

Last year the owner of the Mets brought the Chiefs franchise.

Many new changes are coming for the team, including a new name, logo and players.

The Syracuse Chiefs were the city's minor league baseball team for the last decade.

Many people who came out on Monday to cheer the team on says it was an emotional game to watch.

"A lot of nostalgia comes forward, really. It's happy and it's sad, looking forward to a new start. But you know we've been season ticket holders for many, many years so it's going to be different,” said fan Mary-Ann Wilson.

The Chiefs went out with a bang, beating the Buffalo Bisons, 2-0.
