GEDDES, N.Y. -- The Great New York State Fair kicked off the weekend by celebrating young people.
Saturday was 4-H Day at the fairgrounds.
The global organization focuses on educating and empowering children through different activities.
There are 4-H booths set up throughout the fair to show visitors what kids have been working on, including arts and crafts, fashion shows, agriculture and even robotics.
The 4-H members are proud to show off their skills and have their very own day.
"It really means a lot to me because 4-H is our family and when we get to be around other 4-H’ers, it shows how we all come together and it's really nice to see everyone together,” said Paige Warrington, with Warren County 4-H.
And 4-H will have events all week long, including a Horse Show on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Horse Arena.
