UTICA, N.Y. -- Supporters and protesters on French Road were outside Congresswoman Claudia Tenney's Utica office on Friday.

Fans of Tenney came to show their support for her and the President's upcoming visit.

Those who are not fans of the Congresswoman or the President came out too, wanting change and showing support for her opponent Anthony Brindisi.

Members of both groups making it a priority to remain peaceful in their opposition.

"I don't even bother looking at them. I'm here for Trump and Claudia. I'm not here to cause anything bad, ya know?," said Claudia Tenney supporter Joanie Miller.

"Quite frankly, a lot of people are out here because we're very offended by the fact that she continually tries to paint us as some sort of violent, rock-throwing people that are threatening her life and that's just not true," said Anthony Brindisi supporter Chris Brown.

President Trump is visiting the Mohawk Valley on Monday for a fundraiser for Tenney's campaign.

Her opponent, Anthony Brindisi, is also holding a fundraiser on Monday.
