A man dies after crews rescue him from the Oswego River.

Oswego police say they were called to East 2nd Street Saturday morning, for a man who could be heard yelling. Officers found him in the river, near Lock 7.

They say they were able to get to the man and bring him to shore. Police say lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

His body was taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office. The victim isn't being identified until family is notified.
