President Trump's administration recognized a Mohawk Valley company right at the White House.
Sherrill Manufacturing took part in the "Made in America" product showcase on Monday.
One company from each state was invited.
Sherrill Manufacturing produces Liberty Tabletop flatware, which is 100 percent made in the U.S.
The co-founder and CEO says it's difficult to compete with overseas manufacturers because of tariffs and subsidies, so they had to come up with a new business model.
"We've circumvented the middle man and we sell direct over the web. Our prices are competitive with what you'd find in a store after all those markups, and we provide a quality product at a competitive price. When it's made in America, people give us the nod and we're successful as a result of that,” said Greg Owens, Sherrill Manufacturing CEO.
Sherrill Manufacturing currently employs 54 people.
