The City of Utica is bustling with runners and their families getting ready for Sunday's Boilermaker Road Race.

And for many, their first stop of the weekend is Mohawk Valley Community College to pick up their bibs and check out the Boilermaker's Health and Wellness Expo. With more than 100 vendors participating this year, it's the biggest expo yet.

"It just gives you the opportunity to see the new technology, the different races coming up, maybe see friends that you know from other races, get together before the race and hang out for the little bit," said Chuck Copp, a runner from Minoa.

But people visiting the expo say it's not just for the runners. There's something for everyone.

"I like all the public service displays and public organizations and charity organizations as well as the sales. They're all good. All the vendors are good," said Martha Twichell, a 5K runner from Richfield Springs.

"It's a wellness expo at the end of the day. We have people from all kinds of industries: running, healthy eating, we have massage therapists here, anybody that can contribute to somebody's overall health," said Jordan Peters, the Boilermaker's marketing specialist.

Giving the community plenty to do during Utica's favorite weekend of the year.
