WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. -- A time capsule is being sealed away for another day at the Madison County Courthouse.

A capsule was just removed from the same spot last April, when items dating back more than a century were found inside. The new version has more than 130 items, including locally-made whiskey and something special from every Madison County school district.

"It's been a very fun and unique experience. I mean, obviously we've only done this once in the last 110 years. So to be part of it is very special and I'm grateful for this opportunity," said Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz.

You can see the older treasures from the time capsule opened in April, they're on display in Madison County Building #4.
