There's no doubt about it – the Syracuse Orange are one of the Cinderella stories of this NCAA Tournament. They were the last team chosen to be in the field of 68, and now they're in the Sweet 16! Fans celebrated after Sunday's 55-53 win over Michigan State.

The Spartans were the 3-seed, and had only lost 4 games all year. They also had home court advantage with the game being played in Detroit. But SU's defense won them another big game, and fans couldn't be happier.

There is no doubt Jim Boeheim's squad is looking forward to a few days off after three hard-fought wins in five days.

What a run it’s been so far after wins against Arizona State, TCU, and now Michigan State.

The team arrived back to the Melo Center late Sunday night and now can take a few days off before heading to Omaha for the Sweet 16.

That's where the Orange will take on a familiar foe – the Duke Blue Devils on Friday night.

The Cardiac Cuse were able to knock off a Michigan State team that basically had everything going for them entering the game – including the home crowd in Detroit.

But that wasn't enough as the Orange proved the doubters wrong, hanging on for a two-point win.

Back at home, Spectrum News caught up with fans after the game who watched at Tully's.

Down the stretch every call, foul, free throw, and field goal had Cuse fans yelling at the TVs.

And fans say they're confident the Orange can keep this improbable run going.

"You know what, I'm just so proud that they made it and got this far. They're the best.  They are the best.  They never gave up and you could see it in their faces. You know, and that's what it's all about,” one fan said.

Some say Syracuse basketball is what gets many people through a tough winter.

To live another week is all fans could have asked for and from this point on you just never know.

What's good for the Orange is good for business – you can bet Syracuse bars and restaurants will be packed again to root on the Orange this Friday night.

Tip time for SU and Duke is 9:37 p.m. following the Kansas-Clemson game.
