The Americal Medical Response or AMR, said with the constant stream of recent tragedies its better to be prepared for the unimaginable.

The organization offers up training to First Responders.

The Syracuse Chapter was offered a class that included everything from how to make a tourniquet to how to stop bleeding in a gunshot wound.

With the number of mass shootings that have happened in the US recently, the need for more training is greater than ever they say. Because even if someone is shot, by stopping the bleeding, a life can still possibly be saved. 

But they don't want training to just be for first responders, they said they want the community to know how to do this themselves.
